Privacy policy

Last updated: October 31, 2026

This policy explains what personal information AgriClimate Global Marketplace collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and collect as little as possible.

Who we are

AgriClimate Global Marketplace ("we", "us") runs this website. If you have any question about your data, contact us at jahjooh@gmail.com.

What we collect

Your email address, when you sign in. The business details you enter when you apply to become a supplier: business name, country, region, city, description, website, contact email and phone number. If you send messages through the site: the name you give and the messages in your conversations. The products and suppliers you save, and the people you block in conversations. If you use the phone app and allow notifications: a notification key for your phone, its type (Android or iPhone) and your language. If you report a product or supplier: the reason you choose and any note you write. To protect the site from abuse and to count product views, a short-lived record of recent actions (such as sign-in requests, contact requests, messages, reports and page views), stored only as a one-way fingerprint of your account or network address. Suppliers only ever see totals (for example "12 views this month"), never who viewed or saved something. Basic technical information (such as IP address and browser type) that our hosting provider records to keep the site secure and working. We also count how many pages are viewed each day in each part of the site, as totals only: no cookies, no identifiers and no network addresses are stored for this.

Why we use it

To let you sign in; to review supplier applications; to show approved supplier profiles on the marketplace; to review reports and keep the marketplace honest; to protect the website against spam and abuse; and to meet legal obligations. We rely on providing the service you ask for, our legitimate interest in running a safe platform, and legal requirements.

What is public

Once a supplier profile is approved, its business details are shown publicly on the marketplace. Its contact email and phone number are shown to visitors who ask for them with the "Show contact options" button; we limit how often this can be done, to protect suppliers from spam. Your sign-in email address is never shown publicly. Products that suppliers publish, including their photos, are public too. When a photo is uploaded, it is made smaller and hidden data such as the location where it was taken is removed. Messages are private: only the buyer and the supplier in a conversation can read them, not other visitors and not our admins. Your saved items are visible only to you. If you block someone, our admins can see who blocked whom (to spot people who bother others), but still not the messages.

Reports

Signed-in users can report a product or supplier that seems dishonest, unsafe or illegal. Reports are seen only by our admins; the supplier is never told who reported them. When several different people report the same thing, it is hidden from the marketplace until an admin has reviewed it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use trusted service providers who process it on our behalf: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (website hosting) and, if email notifications are switched on, Resend (to email you when you receive a new message; the email contains a link, not the message itself) and, for the phone app, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple's notification service (to show "You have a new message" on your phone, again without the message itself). They may store data in other countries; where this happens, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. When you write to a supplier through the site, your email address is not shared with them.

Cookies

We only use essential cookies: one remembers your chosen language, and others keep you signed in. Your browser also remembers that you have closed the cookie notice and the "install the app" suggestion, and, if you install the app, keeps a copy of the site's design files and an offline page on your device so it opens faster. When you open your "Saved" list, a short copy of it (names and prices) is kept on your device so you can read it without a connection; it is removed when you sign out. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. To count visits, your browser remembers, for the current browsing session only, that this visit has already been counted.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and supplier details for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time on the "My account" page: your account, supplier profile, products and photos, saved items, blocks, phone notification keys and the conversations you started as a buyer are then deleted straight away (if you are a supplier, conversations with your business are deleted too). Reports you sent are kept without your name or email, so our safety work isn't undone. Records used for abuse protection and view counting are deleted after two days; suppliers keep only daily totals. Technical logs are kept for a short period only, and copies in our database provider's backups disappear when those backups expire (usually within 30 days). We only keep data longer if the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, download or delete your data, or object to how we use it. After signing in, you can download a copy of your data and delete your account yourself on the "My account" page. For anything else, email jahjooh@gmail.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This website is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
